- What does fulfilment cost per order in the UK?
- It depends on your volume, the number of items in each order, your parcel size and how fast you deliver. This calculator adds up pick and pack, packaging, storage, delivery and returns, then divides the monthly total by your orders to show a cost per order.
- How much does next day delivery add to fulfilment costs?
- In this calculator next day delivery has its own rate per parcel for each parcel size, and it is higher than the standard rate. Switch the delivery service between standard and next day to see the difference for your orders.
- How are returns included in the total cost of fulfilment?
- The calculator works out how many returns you handle each month from your share of orders returned, then multiplies that by a handling rate for each return. The cost of the return postage itself is not included.
- Why does parcel size change the whole estimate?
- Parcel size sets both the packaging rate and the delivery rate, so it affects two lines for every order. Larger parcels cost more to pack and more to deliver.
- What does this estimate leave out?
